Media console cut list
A 60" wide, 24" tall, 14" deep open console with three bays and a shelf in each. One sheet of 3/4" plywood at about 79 percent yield.
The top is the full 60" width and sits on the two sides. The sides are 23.25" tall so the finished height with the top is 24". The bottom runs between the sides at floor level, so it is 58.5" long (60 − 1.5). Two dividers split the inside into three bays of 19" each.
The console is 14" deep rather than 16". At 16" the nine parts still fit on one sheet, but they cover about 91 percent of it and leave nothing for a miscut. At 14" the layout uses about 79 percent and leaves usable offcuts. Dividers and shelves are set back 3/4" from the front edge so the front face reads as a clean frame.

Cut layout
Cutting order
- Rip the 14" parts together. Top, bottom, and sides are all 14" wide. Rip them in one setup so the front face stays flush.
- Crosscut the long parts first. Cut the 60" top and 58.5" bottom from one strip. The sides come out of the second 14" strip.
- Cut the dividers and shelves narrower. Dividers are 13.25" and shelves 13". Rip them from the remaining width, then crosscut to length.
- Assemble on the bottom. Attach the sides to the bottom, stand the dividers, then add the top. Check that the three bays measure 19" before fixing the dividers.
Questions
Does everything fit on one sheet?
Yes. The calculator shows the nine parts on a single 4×8 sheet at about 79 percent yield with a 1/8" kerf.
Can I make it 72" wide?
A 72" top and 70.5" bottom still come off one sheet, but the sides, dividers, and wider shelves no longer fit beside them. The calculator shows two sheets for the 72" version, so plan the second sheet for a matching shelf or a drawer box.
